Programme updates

For those that weren't able to attend last week we have made some changes to the programme. Feedback from members was in favour of Digital projected image (DPI) competitions instead of discussion nights and so we have resorted DPI competition nights with immediate effect. Minimalist / Anything Red (DPI) will be the first DPi competition of the season. If you have not entered before have a look at out website for further information.Competition Rules | Plymstock CC

We also agreed that the proposed learning night having been covered in last year's programme would be changed to a practical night. The theme for the evening is still life and members are encouraged to bring a subject that they and other members can photograph, along with your cameras and any lighting gear you want to make use of.

Finally, this week we are going to review some editing with our problem images solved night. So far there are only a small number of images to play with so if members want to bring a usb stick with an image or two on the night we can live edit and see if we can make improvements/share editing tips. I will bring my own laptop to demonstrate photoshop lots of the techniques used should translate to other programmes. i.e. layers and masks etc.

Look forward to seeing you soon,

Matt
