Hello everyone! 👋
As the leaves turn their glorious shades of gold and red, it's time to swap those summer sunset shots for some crisp autumn photography! We've got a fantastic, packed programme lined up for you this October that's full of learning, friendly competition, and a much-anticipated trip out.
Here’s your full schedule—grab your diaries (and your camera gear!) and make a note of these key dates:
October Programme Highlights
Tuesday, October 7th: Learning Night (Wildlife)
Where: Church Hall
What: Get ready to unleash your inner nature photographer! Lesley and Tony K will be presenting a special Learning Night dedicated to Wildlife photography. Whether you're trying to capture that perfect bird in flight or a shy deer in the woods, this is the session to pick up some invaluable tips and techniques.
Tuesday, October 14th: No Meeting
What: Just a heads-up, there's no club meeting at the Church Hall this evening. Why? Because we'll be saving our energy for the club expedition later that week!
Saturday, October 18th: Club Expedition - Saltram Trip
Where: Saltram House
What: Time to get out and shoot! Our Club Expedition this month is a trip to the beautiful Saltram House and Estate. With the autumn colours, this is going to be a prime location for stunning photos. Keep an eye on your inboxes for final details, times, and meeting points (TBC).
Tuesday, October 21st: Trophy 1 & PDI 2 Entry Deadline
Where: Church Hall
What: Get your best shots ready! This is a big competition night as we'll be judging entries for Trophy 1: Portrait Print and Monochrome Print Trophies. Look forward to seeing some fantastic work.
DEADLINE: This is also the last date for entry to PDI 2. Make sure your digital images are submitted on time!
Tuesday, October 28th: Learning Night (Landscape/Seascape)
Where: Church Hall
What: We're rounding out the month with another brilliant Learning Night, this time focused on Landscape and Seascape photography. Our very own Sue and Tony W will be sharing their expertise. Perfect timing as we head into the winter months and capture those dramatic coastal scenes!
We can't wait to see you all at the meetings and, of course, out on the Saltram expedition. Let's make this October a truly creative and inspiring month!
If you have any questions about the events, the Trophies, or PDI submissions, don't hesitate to reach out to a committee member.
Happy snapping!
